to 150 degrees C. Cut dates into tiny pieces and pour boiled
water over dates. Add the honey to the date mixture. Let it
steep till cake mixture is done. In a bowl, beat the butter
and sugar with an electric mixer till light and fluffy. In
another bowl, sift all the dry ingredients - Flour, Baking
Powder and Baking Soda. Slowly add the dry ingredients in
2 batches, mixing after each batch of dry ingredients is added
into the wet mixture. After everything is mixed, fold in the
date mixture and vanilla essence into the cake batter mixture.
Bake in oven for 20 min or till cake is cooked.
Take out the cake from the over and while hot, poke holes
through the cake with a toothpick and then pour heated Posh
Nosh Sticky Caramel Sauce onto the cake. Let it soak into
the cake and serve once ready.
